But with Studio You as your tool, together we can continue our efforts in getting every girl moving to support their mental and physical health.

Research tells us that girls tend to feel less competent, confident, and included in PE compared to boys, which leads to a lack of understanding about the benefits of sports and exercise and a decreased enjoyment in participating [3].

That’s why Studio You is designed to support teachers in building girls’ confidence and sense of inclusion in PE and it is already making a measurable difference in schools. Our 2025-2026 annual impact report found:

  • 91% of girls say Studio You has improved their confidence taking part
  • 91% say it has motivated them to be more active outside of PE lessons
  • Over 720,000 girls have been reached through the programme [4].

In the short video below, Sport England’s Claire Edwards shares why it’s so important to make sure PE appeals to everyone and how Studio You can help support teachers to enhance their lesson delivery, without replacing traditional PE.

Use Studio You to:

  • Introduce students to non-competitive disciplines like yoga and combat to show that there are lots of different ways to be active.
  • Offer students more choice in how they get active with a range of lesson formats and disciplines designed to promote inclusivity and encourage participation.
  • Support your PE delivery with our lessons and supporting resources, which include information on how you can adapt lessons to different ability levels.

All lessons are certified by the Association for Physical Education’s Professional Development Board for Physical Education for their high quality and curriculum links. Our resources have also been designed to align with Ofsted’s Intent, Implementation and Impact framework.
